The M.S. in Computer Engineering consists of 30 total credits, including 12 credits of core courses, 18 credits of electives, and one immersion. Coursework focuses on keeping up with new and emerging technologies while building critical skills and advanced knowledge in key areas, including:

Core Competency Prerequisites for Admissions

To ensure students are prepared for the academic rigor of the program, applicants should have prior demonstrated academic and/or work experience in areas such as programming, discrete math and data structures, operating systems, or computer architecture and organization.

  • Additional preparatory courses may be required for students admitted into the program who do not have prior experience in the core competencies outlined above.
  • GRE waivers are available to applicants who meet at least one of the academic or previous work experience prerequisite requirements, such as:

4+ years of work experience in a technical or related field

An undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or greater, with a quantitative or technical relevant degree
